“rf presidential election” in the occupied territories of Ukraine

March 18, 2024

The “presidential election” in Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine has ended. The election lasted three days – from 15 to 17 March inclusive.

Four candidates were registered for the election – Vladimir Putin, Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of Russia, and Vladislav Davankov from the New People party. But did you doubt who would get the so-called “victory”?

Thus, the exit poll of the All-Russian Centre for the Study of Public Opinion stated that rf President Vladimir Putin won the presidential “election” with 87.29% of the vote.

As the occupation authorities claim, Putin’s “high indicators” were recorded in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine: in the east – up to 95%, in the Kherson region – 88.12%, in Sevastopol – 90.9%, and in Crimea – 93.27%.

“More than 89% of Crimeans took part in the presidential election, almost 94% of voters cast their votes for Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. This high result speaks for itself – we have never doubted the correctness of the choice made in 2014, no sanctions and efforts of Western politicians have not forced the Crimeans to change their opinion,” – said the “head of the Republic of Crimea” Aksenov.

However, it is of course known that Russians themselves and collaborators took part in the so-called “elections” in the occupied territories , who were brought there.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Centre notes the unlawful nature of such actions of Russia.

The entire civilised world does not recognise the results of this “vote”.

Thus, parliamentarians from 20 countries made a statement that the holding of the so-called “elections” of the President by Russia in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is a violation of international law and that the international community will never recognise their results.

For example, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron noted the unlawful nature of these “elections”.

“By holding illegal elections in Ukraine, Russia is demonstrating that it has no interest in finding a path to peace. The UK will continue to provide humanitarian, economic and military assistance to Ukrainians who are defending their democracy,” – he wrote.

By supporting Putin – you are supporting rf’s horrific and bloody war against Ukraine, during which thousands of people are dying …
