According to activists of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, in the temporarily occupied Henichesk, Russian security forces en masse stop cars with Ukrainian license plates and warn drivers about the need to replace them as soon as possible.
Despite the fact that local residents received messages from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation that their driver’s licenses and license plates can be changed until 2026, they are forced to do this much faster.
Moreover, residents of Henichesk are threatened that they will soon not be allowed to drive without insurance, and Russian insurance is tied to Russian license plates.
