Political prisoner Oleg Prykhodko faces a new term

March 29, 2023

Because of his refusal to cooperate with the FSB, Oleh Prykhodko is being threatened with a new term on trumped-up charges. This was told to QIRIM.News by his daughter Natalia.

Natalia noted that Prykhodko was required to provide evidence that would discredit the Ukrainian military, but he refused.

The daughter also said that she did not know anything about the state of her father’s health, because the meeting with him, which was scheduled for January 16, did not take place.

We remind you that on February 8, 2019, Russian security forces searched the house of pro-Ukrainian activist Oleg Prykhodko in the village of Orikhove, Saky district.

On October 9, 2019, Russian security forces again broke into the house of Oleg Prykhodko and stole him. On October 10, a search was carried out in his house, during which the man was detained. His wife Lyiubov Prikhodko was also detained. The activist is accused of terrorism and making explosives. The woman was detained as a witness, but later released. On October 10, the Kyiv district court arrested Oleg Prykhodko until December 10. Later, DNA samples were illegally taken from Prykhodko. According to lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov, this was done in order to falsify evidence. The measure of restraint was repeatedly continued for the political prisoner. In April, Oleg Prykhodko was transferred to the pre-trial detention center in Rostov-on-Don. On December 16, in the Southern District Military Court, the prosecutor invited pro-Ukrainian activist Oleg Prykhodko to 11 years in a strict regime colony with three years in prison.
