Political prisoner Konstantin Schiring , previously sentenced to 12 years for allegedly spying for Kyiv, died in a Russian colony in the Orenburg region.
According to the Crimean Human Rights Group, Schiring sought medical help, needed a heart operation, but it was not performed.
There is no official confirmation of the fact of Shyrynh‘s death from the administration of the colony yet.
We remind you that that on April 15, 2020, Russian security forces detained alleged members of a Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage group, which allegedly included a Russian servicewoman – Tatiana Kuzmenko and a citizen of Ukraine – Konstantin Schiring. The latter was accused of carrying out espionage activities on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services. On October 15, the Supreme Court of Crimea sentenced Ukrainian Konstantin Schiring to 12 years for allegedly spying for Kyiv (Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
