Crimean Tatar Arsen Abkhairov, who suffers from varicose veins and problems with his teeth, is not receiving treatment. This was told by his wife Azize Abkhairova after meeting with her husband in the Yenisei prison in the Krasnodar Territory.

“He is also worried about varicose veins of the lower extremities and the problem that comes from pre-trial detention centers is teeth. Since dental services were not provided in the pre-trial detention center, dental treatment is now impossible, and the only way out is to remove them. He already has virtually no chewing teeth”,-said Azize.

We remind you that on February 14, 2019, Russian security forces conducted regular searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars in the village of Oktiabrske, Krasnohvardiiske district. Three men were detained and taken to the FSB headquarters. Criminal cases have been initiated against them on suspicion of organizing and participating in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned on the territory of the Russian Federation.

On February 15, the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol arrested Eskender Abdulhaniev, Rustem Emiruseinov, and Arsen Abkhairov, detained after a search, on suspicion of participation in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia.

On November 3, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict on the defendants in the Krasnohvardiiske Hizb ut-Tahrir case. Rustem Emiruseinov was sentenced to 17 years in prison, Arsen Abkhairov to 13, and Eskender Abdulhaniev to 12. Political prisoners are forced to serve their first two years in prison.
