On 25 September, it became known that officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Center for Countering Extremism in the occupied Crimea detained a resident of Pervomaiskoye village, Petro Skrypnyk. The man is suspected of committing actions aimed at discriminating against the Russian armed forces, as well as distributing prohibited symbols.
According to one of the Russian media, Skrypnyk spat in a box in a shop in his city, which was intended to raise funds for the so-called members of the ‘Svoboda’. In addition, he used the symbols of the Ukrainian national liberation movement ‘Right Sector’ as his avatar on social media. The Russian occupiers also conducted a search, during which they found prohibited materials. Currently, all materials and information have been transferred to the ‘court’. The issue of initiating a criminal ‘case’ is being considered.
