As part of the II Strategic Forum “The Future of Crimea”, a meeting was held between acting Poliana village head Nelly Petrus, and Poliana village deputy head  for the activities of the executive bodies of the council Ruslan Rebrysh.

Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev thanked the representatives of local authorities for the reception, as well as for taking the time to meet with experts of the II Strategic Forum “The Future of Crimea” .

The interlocutors discussed which territorial community, after the deoccupation of Crimea during the process of its reintegration, the Poliana Village Council will be able to take under its care. This is not about financial support, but about humanitarian support. For example, exchanging children for health improvement on the territory of the Poliana village council, providing assistance with textbooks, and the like.

Eskender Bariiev also informed that the CTRC had previously created a chat bot for IDPs, which included all the necessary information for internally displaced persons, in particular, from among the indigenous peoples and national minorities of Ukraine.

“Currently the bot covers 4 large cities: Lviv, Kyiv, Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk, but in the future we plan to expand the geography and add even more important information that IDPs may need. It is very important for us that the bot covers the Transcarpathian region”,- Bariiev noted.

In turn, Nelly Petrus and Ruslan Rebrysh became interested in this proposal and spoke about the role of the Poliana Village Council in providing assistance to IDPs.

In addition, Eskender Bariiev spoke about information campaigns that the CTRC conducts on the eve of various dates related to Crimea and indigenous peoples. He invited the interlocutors to cooperate more actively in carrying out campaign activities in order to reach even more people.
