Marat Khusnullin, deputy chairman of the rf government, has announced the opening of a number of road highways, describing it as ‘reunification of historical regions of Ukraine’. Among the innovations is a 10km motorway from the border with the Rostov region to the town of Novoazovsk. Work is now underway to widen the carriageway of the highway to four lanes. About it reports Mariupol city Council.
The occupiers plan to create a highway that connects Rostov-on-Don with Mariupol, and further – with Akmesdzhit (Simferopol). This is all part of an overland route to occupied Crimea, which the invaders aim to create.
The Crimean Tatar Resource Center strongly condemns these actions, which are a gross violation of international law and Ukraine’s sovereignty. These actions underscore that the occupiers’ attempts to implement infrastructure projects in the TOTs are irresponsible and dangerous for the stability of the region.
The CTRC calls on the international community to pay attention to these actions of the occupiers and take appropriate measures to stop them, stressing that Crimea is Ukraine and all attempts to legitimise the occupation are unacceptable.
