Occupiers illegally sentenced a 66-year-old resident of Akyar (Sevastopol) to 16 years in prison

June 5, 2025

Occupiers accused a 66-year-old woman of “espionage” in favor of Ukraine and sentenced her to 16 years in prison. This was reported by the Russian media.

The woman is accused of transferring data to Ukrainian special services – in particular, information about military facilities and photos and videos of ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

She was detained in September 2024. The court sentenced her to 16 years of general regime colony and a fine of 200 thousand rubles.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center notes that the woman is an elderly person, and the appointed term of imprisonment can actually be fatal. We once again demand from the Russian Federation to immediately release all illegally detained Crimean political prisoners.
