The Supreme “court” of the occupied Crimea considered the appeal of lawyer Edem Semedlyayev against the 10-day arrest of Crimean Tatar lawyer Rustem Kiamilev and decided to keep him in custody. Semedlyayev’s lawyer told Crimean Solidarity about it.
According to the defense lawyer, the occupation “court” did not accept any arguments of the defense and left the decision of the Kyiv district “court” in force.
“Accordingly, Rustem will serve the entire 10-day term in a special detention center for administrative arrestees. Surprisingly, our petition was granted, and Rustem was brought to the courtroom, he also participated in the trial,” – Semedlyayev said.
He added that Kiamilev feels “more or less normal” and sends his greetings to everyone.
Let us recall that on November 7, the Russian occupiers in Crimea came to the house of lawyers Rustem Kiamilev and Lilya Hemedzhi to conduct an inspection.
Two administrative reports were drawn up against lawyer Rustem Kiamilev: The first protocol – under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation for reposting from the page of the Crimean Solidarity. The second protocol – under part 1 of Article 20.3.3 for “disagreement with the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”.
