According to the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Amet Suleymanov is on the waiting list for heart valve transplantation. He suffers from arterial and mitral insufficiency. In addition, even under the occupational legislation, this disease is included in the list of impediments to detention.
Previously, the political prisoner was kept under house arrest for three years due to heart disease.

On October 29, 2021, Amet Suleymanov was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony with the first 3 years and 6 months in prison.
