Occupants in Crimea force children to write letters to Russian soldiers

February 3, 2023

The Russian occupiers in Crimea are sending out appeals to teachers demanding that they prepare together with their children drawings and letters to Russian soldiers who are participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Letter received by teachers:

Dear colleagues

The editorial office of the Krymskaya Gazeta newspaper is preparing for publication a series of special issues dedicated to the SMO. These issues will contain letters and drawings by the children of mobilized citizens addressed to Russian servicemen taking part in the SMO.

Please join this action. To participate in the project, letters and drawings must be formatted as follows:

Handwritten by a child on a white sheet of A4 paper.

At the beginning of the letter there should be an appeal (for example: “dear dad”, “dear soldier of Russia”).

The letter or drawing must be signed: the name and the first letter of the child’s surname, age, city or region of Crimea (for example: Seryozha K., 11 years old, Krasnogvardeisky district, Republic of Crimea, Russia).

Letters and drawings must be submitted to the Department of Internal Policy on purpose before February 03!

Tomorrow during the working day (from 09.00 to 17.00) it is necessary to bring letters and drawings to the address: st. Tolstoy, 15, room. 303

We remind teachers that by doing so, you become accomplices in a crime against humanity and will be held criminally liable.
