In the occupied Crimea, Russian security forces detained a man accused of attempting to set fire to a railroad near the Balaklava thermal power plant. The FSB claims that the man acted “on the instructions of Kyiv” and was supposed to receive a monetary reward for this. This was reported by the Russian propaganda agency TASS.
According to the FSB, the resident of Akyar (Sevastopol) was allegedly promised a reward of one thousand dollars for committing arson. According to him, he was “contacted via messenger by a person who introduced himself as Andriy,” who gave him a task to take pictures of equipment near the railway in Akyar (Sevastopol). After sending the photos, the man was allegedly offered to set fire to them.
“I agreed and received instructions on how to make the incendiary mixture. And then I received a hundred dollars to buy it,” – the detainee said in a video released by the FSB.
According to him, he purchased the mixture, bottled it and received “the exact date when the arson was to be set.” However, he was detained before the planned action was carried out.
