On Wednesday, February 8, Russian occupiers searched the office building of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Skadovsk, Kherson region.
The Russian police raided the office building of Jehovah’s Witnesses. According to the security forces, ceremonies and meetings of adherents were held there, and extremist literature was also stored there – we are talking about religious brochures.
Now the occupants are conducting a pre-investigation check and starting a case on the organization of the activities of an extremist organization (282.2 of the Criminal Code).
We remind you that after the occupation of Crimea, the Russian Federation actively practices religious persecution on the peninsula. The occupiers systematically detain and sentence to long terms people who are involved in participation in the organizations banned in the Russian Federation Hizb ut-Tahrir and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Also, the Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimean OCU Klyment is subjected to systematic repression. We see that the same practice is applied in the new occupied territories.
