The Russian occupation “authorities” continue repressions against Ukrainians in the occupied territories of Kherson region. Huseyn Huseynov, a resident of Henichesk, became a victim of the latest wave of persecution. According to the occupation “department of the FSB of Russia” in the Kherson region, he was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison for allegedly participating in the Noman Chelebidzhikhan battalion. This was reported by the editorial board of Rayon.Henichesk.
The battalion, which advocated the blockade of the occupied Crimea and its return to Ukraine, was declared a terrorist organization by the Russian authorities. Huseynov has been accused of collaborating with this structure since 2015. According to the decision of the occupation “court”, he will serve part of his sentence in prison, and the rest – in a strict regime penal colony.
