November 18 is celebrated annually as the Day of Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.
The team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center sincerely congratulates all Latvians on this special day in the history of the country, which demonstrates the unshakable will, strength and firmness of the entire Latvian people.
We are eternally grateful for Latvia’s strong support for Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as for its unwavering solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people. After all, it was the Seimas of Latvia that was the first after Ukraine to recognize the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944 as an act of genocide, which happened on May 9, 2019.
