Nine former Crimean prosecutors to be tried for treason

The Prosecutor’s Office of Crimea and Sevastopol has charged nine former employees of the peninsula’s prosecutor’s office with high treason.

Among the accused are three ‘deputy prosecutors’ of Alushta, Yevpatoria and Saky district, as well as six ‘senior assistant prosecutors’ in Yalta, Krasnoperekopsk, Kyiv district of Simferopol and Chernomorsk district of Crimea.

They contributed to the establishment and functioning of the occupation prosecutor’s office, which helped the aggressor state in subversive activities against Ukraine. For committig this they face up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property in accordance with part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
