In Sevastopol, occupied Crimea, Russians have consecrated the museum and temple complex ‘New Chersonese’. This was reported by the ‘head’ of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his Telegram-channel.

During the closed ceremony a procession took place, in which 12 bishops and more than 100 clergymen took part.

‘The museum and temple complex ‘New Chersonese’ is a world-class cultural object that future generations will be proud of. I am sure that by the labours of Vladyka Tikhon in a similar format in the future a complex will also be created on the Scythian Naples in Simferopol. Such projects are a return to our historical roots, spiritual and cultural basis for the education of young people’, – he said.

As ‘Krym.Realii reported, during the ceremony, the roads in the direction of Chersonese were blocked,  occupation police posts with machine guns were put up at the intersections. Public transport was banned from approaching Chersonesos, and the route was changed to bypass the usual direction.
