Mobilization in the Russian Federation: the State Duma raised the conscription age to 30 years

January 4, 2024

In Russia, on January 1, 2024, a law raising the conscription age to 30 years came into force, which the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted on July 25, 2023.

What has changed?

Fines have been introduced: for failure to appear on a summons to the military registration and enlistment office – up to 30 thousand rubles; for failure to provide assistance to military registration and enlistment offices when announcing mobilization – up to 500 thousand rubles.

A ban on leaving the Russian Federation for conscripts from the day the summons is sent to work or study and from the moment it is placed in the register.

The conscription age for military service in Russia has increased from 18 to 30 years.

Apparently, Russians, as well as residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine, cannot avoid mobilization.

We remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center previously launched the “Grave Mobilization” campaign, within which residents of Crimea are informed about how they can avoid mobilization, what to do if they receive a summons, how to sabotage mobilization, how to travel to third countries etc.
