Medzhyt Abdurakhmanov and Farkhod Bazarov were transferred to the Saratov region

The defendants of the second Simferopol group Farkhod Bazarov and Medzhyt Abdurakhmanov were transferred to the prison in the city of Balashov. This was announced by the lawyer Edem Semedliaiev.

The transfer became known on July 11, when political prisoner Zekirya Muratov told his lawyer that Bazarov and Abdurakhmanov had been transferred to the prison where he is now. Upon arrival, Abdurakhmanov was placed in a quarantine cell.

“Zekirya agha personally saw Farkhod Bazarov and said that everything was fine with him. He hopes that in the near future he will be able to see Medzhit Abdurakhmanov when he comes out of quarantine”,- the lawyer said.

We remind you that on March 27, 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea conducted mass searches in 26 houses of Crimean Tatars. According to the results, 20 people were detained, who are suspected of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in the Russian Federation. On March 28, three more Crimean Tatar activists were detained, and searches were carried out in their homes in their absence. The occupation court arrested all 23 detainees after searches of Crimean Tatar activists. They chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention. Subsequently, all the defendants in the case were repeatedly extended the term of arrest.
