Eskender Bariiev, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said whether Russia would place nuclear weapons in Crimea in an interview with the HV Radio.
The expert noted that such information is not available to activists on the peninsula, so it is difficult to say anything.
“We heard about it before. Some politicians have repeatedly stated that nuclear weapons were brought to Crimea. But at the same time, we have learned that Soviet bases and nuclear weapons storage sites, such as catacombs, are now being actively cleaned, cleared and prepared for something,” he said.
