The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the Head of the Department of Legal and Foreign Affairs of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Eskender Bariiev, said on the My Ukraine broadcast that there are currently three categories of people in Crimea: Russians, collaborators who cooperate with the occupation regime, and pro-Ukrainian conscientious objectors and citizens.

“There are three categories of citizens on the peninsula. The first category is Russian citizens who came illegally to the territory of Crimea for permanent residence. They are done. They continue to believe in the Russian Armed Forces. They continue to believe that they will be protected. To say that they began to panic – I cannot yet. Although, there are indicators. There is information that military personnel are sending their families to the territory of the Russian Federation, the demand for real estate has decreased, and the construction business has stopped. They are afraid to invest money in construction”,- said Bariiev on the air.

The second category, which is currently on the Crimean peninsula, are collaborators who know the peninsula well and support Russia. The third category is conscientious Ukrainians. However, their actions are now somewhat limited.
