“The Future of Crimea”: five days of hard work on deoccupation and reintegration of Crimea

March 7, 2023

From March 3 to 7, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine, held the Strategic Forum “The Future of Crimea”.

The event was attended by 20 experienced experts in the fields of law, ecology, politics, education, economics and finance, social and humanitarian policy, public administration, journalism, and security.

All of these experts are not only interested in Crimea, but also lived on the peninsula, know the specifics of its population, economy, and political processes, are well known among the Crimean population, and worked on its development even before the occupation.

As part of the work, the experts identified the following areas in the process of deoccupation and reintegration of Crimea: public authorities, criminal policy, citizenship and migration, civil policy, social and humanitarian policy, information policy, environmental safety, financial policy, international policy, justice policy and anti-corruption policy.

Experts of the Strategic Forum “The Future of Crimea” have developed recommendations taking into account the collective rights of indigenous peoples, which will be sent to the President of Ukraine, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and other government agencies responsible for this area in the second half of March.

In addition, public presentations will be held to inform Ukrainian society.
