The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Eskender Bariiev, in an interview with Hromadske Radio, talked about the housing market in occupied Crimea and what the Russians are currently building on the peninsula.
“The construction business has now fully developed in Crimea. Supply exceeds demand. Despite the fact that they are now using those certificates for residents of the Kherson region, which are provided for the purchase of housing. That is, we see that they are trying to artificially support demand. This indicates that no one is currently engaged in construction. Firstly, they are afraid of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, secondly, if there is more supply than demand, then there is no point in building anything”,- he said.
Bariiev emphasized that the occupiers are now building defensive structures in the west and north of the peninsula, as well as along the North Crimean Canal. And now they are afraid to build civilian objects.
