August 23 is the day of the National Flag of Ukraine.
The last state flag of Ukraine was lowered from the administrative building of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people 8 months after the beginning of the occupation of Crimea, when the occupants seized the building of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
There were several attempts to disrupt the flag from the building by armed people in balaclavas, but the employees of the Fund "Crimea" and activists of the Crimean Tatar national movement defended the state symbol of Ukraine for 8 months. Happy National Flag Day of Ukraine!
