The head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev, in an interview with the Black Sea TV and Radio Company, spoke about the crimes of the Russian Federation in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In particular, Bariiev spoke about daily detentions, kidnappings of pro-Ukrainian activists and deputies, illegal searches, and torture. He spoke about the statistics kept by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center regarding this.

“The Crimean Tatar Resource Center collects information about human rights violations of the Russian Federation in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. According to our data, the occupants abducted Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars at least 160 times (some of them – even twice). Moreover, we have information that the Russians are forcing deported Ukrainian citizens to serve military facilities. They do technical work. This is especially true for women. That is, they repeat the practice of Nazi Germany, which also took people to work,” he explained.
