Russia is strengthening its military presence in the occupied Crimea – Bariiev

Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev spoke about the military presence of the Russian Federation in the territory of the occupied Crimea in an interview with the ATR TV channel.

“The Russian Federation is strengthening its military presence in the occupied Crimea. According to our data, in October 2021 alone, we recorded 5 military exercises, during which more than 12,000 servicemen and more than 550 pieces of military and special equipment were involved”,- he said.

Bariiev stressed that the Russian Federation constantly conducts such military training, as well as systematically conducts various provocations. What should Ukraine do?

“In fact, it is important for Ukraine to actively work on the modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and we must fight not for the number, but for the quality of each serviceman”,- the expert added.
