November 3, 2021

The manager of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Liudmyla Korotkykh, in an interview with the Black Sea Television and Radio Company, commented on the situation with the coronavirus infection in the occupied Crimea, noting that the so-called authorities of the peninsula publishes underestimated statistics on its resources.

“Every day new anti-records. The number of cases and deaths is increasing. There is information that morgues in Crimea are overcrowded. People complain that the bodies of loved ones who died due to the coronavirus are given out in the wrong state. A very sad statistic”,- she said.

Korotkykh believes that the statistics published by the Russian authorities are underestimated. The hospitals are overcrowded. People with 25 percent lung damage are not hospitalized because there are no beds.

“From November 1 to November 7 is a weekend in Crimea. That is, the Russian Federation cannot even officially admit that the situation is really bad. But at the same time, they do not close the Crimea for tourists, they only introduced some restrictions. Unfortunately, this will not give any result”,- she added.
