The head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev commented on the decision of the Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikha, which upheld the verdict against the defendants in the so-called Krasnohvardiiske Hizb ut-Tahrir case.
“The accusation in this so-called case is based on the testimony of hidden witnesses and the conclusion of so-called experts who are actively cooperating with the Russian security forces. We see that these cases are fabricated”,- he said.
Bariiev noted that, looking at these violations, activists cannot sit idly by. They continue to fight in a non-violent way, to fight for the rights of citizens. They are doing everything so that the world does not consider the Crimean Tatars as terrorists. But the occupiers are trying to intimidate the activists with their detentions.
