As part of the "Freedom Camp", organized by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a concert of the Crimean Tatar folk ensembles of the Henichesk district took place. The CTRC team is trying not only to inform camp participants about the occupation of Crimea and repressions against the Crimean Tatars, but also to acquaint activists with the culture of the indigenous people of Ukraine.
The camp participants had an opportunity to witness the national dances of the Crimean Tatars performed by the "Dalhalar" People's Crimean Tatar Dance Ensemble, the "Emine" Rykovskyy Art School ensemble. Songs from vocalist Maie Lukashuk were also performed, and Aziz Seitveliiev surprised the audience with an incredible drumming.
Eskender Bariiev, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, expressed gratitude to the ensembles for preservation, development and popularization of the national culture of the Crimean Tatar people.
During the event, the CTRC team also presented gratitude to the Deputy Head of the Henichesk Border Service Department for Personnel, Senior Lieutenant Emil Asanov for his contribution to the protection of the Ukrainian people, the independence and territorial integrity of state borders, selfless work for the benefit of the Ukrainian people. In addition, a Ukrainian volunteer, a participant of the Revolution of Dignity, Serhii Serykov, presented Asanov with the people's order (issued by the Orde NGOr).
The participants and organizers of the event were congratulated by the former political prisoner of Crimea Edem Bekirov, as well as his wife, deputy chairman of the Henichesk District State Administration Gulnara Bekirova.
