Bariiev believes that the problem with water will not be resolved in the near future

Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev in an interview with the ATR TV channel said that despite heavy downpours and floods on the peninsula, water issues in Crimea will not be resolved in the near future.

“Generally speaking, of course, the precipitation that is now abundant in Crimea contributes to the filling of reservoirs. Purely in this regard, these are positive consequences for the ecology of Crimea. Thus, the balance begins to be compensated somewhere. But for all that, this is not enough and it is not correct to say that due to such heavy rainfall issues with water will be resolved. Definitely, there will still be problems, they remain”,- the expert explained.

Bariiev believes that the government should think about something else: about people's lives. After all, those showers led to disastrous consequences: the death of a woman and serious material damage.
