July 13, 2021

The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariev, in an interview with the UA: Crimea media agency told why the resolution on Crimea, which was adopted by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on July 6, is important for Ukraine.

“This is another reminder of an authoritative international organization, of which the Russian Federation is a member, that the civilized world does not recognize and will not recognize the attempt to annex Crimea by the Russian Federation”,- the expert said.

Bariiev stressed that this is also important for the further sanctions policy towards the Russian Federation, which still works and gives results.

“We (the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people) are effectively working to ensure that, in addition to economic and sectoral sanctions against Crimea, more personal sanctions are introduced against those who directly violate human rights in Crimea”,- Eskender Bariiev explained.
