Head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Eskender Bariiev, in an interview with Public Radio spoke about the study Situation analysis in the occupied Crimea as of 2020 presented by the CTRC experts. He stressed that according to the organization, in 2017-2020, 4950 major human rights violations were recorded in the occupied Crimea.
“We took the information for the period of occupation, primarily in 2017-2021, when we could systematically and clearly record and observe human rights violations in accordance with UN standards, so that it is clear to international organizations, and so that we clearly delineate and rely on those categories of human rights violations that exist. We can talk about such categories as searches, detentions, interrogations, arrests, illegal transferrings, the right to healthcare and the right to a fair trial”,- Bariiev said.
The Head of the CTRC stressed that in just 2017-2020, 4950 major human rights violations were recorded in the occupied Crimea.
