Head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, head of the department of legal and foreign affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev in an interview with PravdaTut media agency said that Ukraine should actively inform the international community about the illegal actions of the occupierer on the peninsula, so that Western countries continue and strengthen their sanctions against the Russian Federation.

“Many experts said that the EU will not continue sanctions against the Russian Federation for more than two years. Almost 7 years have passed, and the sanctions continue, which is the result of the work of our diplomatic corps. Of course, I would like to exert more pressure, but we must understand that Russian business has become strongly integrated into the world economy, and therefore the economies of Western countries are strongly linked to the Russian economy”,- he said.

Bariiev explained that all these processes to extend the sanctions are not so simple, as it affects the economies of certain countries. The expert stressed that, in this regard, Ukraine should actively inform the international community about the illegal actions of the occupier on the peninsula in order to continue and strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation.
