On Wednesday, August 19, the activists of the international movement for the de-occupation of Crimea and solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people #LIBERATECRIMEA organized an event at the Chonhar checkpoint, dedicated to the need to consolidate the efforts of the international community to de-occupy Crimea and counter Russian aggression.
The speeches of the members of the Mejlis and local self-government bodies present at the event were devoted to the release of political prisoners and new threats associated with the militarization of Crimea.
The activists emphasized the need to abolish the discriminatory unconstitutional restrictions for Ukrainian citizens who live in Crimea to enter the free territory of their country.
