Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev on the air of the Chornomorska TV channel, commenting on the liquidation of the Millet TV channel, said that by such actions the invaders deprive the Crimean Tatars of the opportunity to even listen to propaganda in their own language in the annexed Crimea.
Bariiev noted that the TV channel is being liquidated, and a so-called international channel is being created in its place. And what is most interesting – today it is already forbidden to use any Crimean Tatar names of certain programs. The names must be in Russian.
“The problem is that even if it was a propaganda channel, at least it was in the Crimean Tatar language, and today they deprive the Crimean Tatars of the opportunity to listen to propaganda in their own language”,- he stressed.
