Crimean Tatar Resource Center has developed an electronic database of victims of the occupation of Crimea

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center has classified and developed clickable diagrams “Victims of the Occupation of Crimea”, which will be available on the organization’s website in 4 languages on a regular basis and will display the actual number of political prisoners, missing and killed people during the occupation period of Crimea.

Today, according to the CTRC, the number of political prisoners and persecuted in the criminal cases by the occupation authorities is 190 people, 136 of them are the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. This category consists of 5 components, depending on the status of the victim:

– “Sentenced and serve terms in  colonies” (42, 23 – Crimean Tatars);
– “Have restrictions or on probation" (22, 16 – Crimean Tatars);
– "In detention facilities" (56, 48 – Crimean Tatars);
– "Released" (44, 29 – Crimean Tatars);
– "Persecuted" (26, 20 – Crimean Tatars).

According to the CTRC, today there are 51 who were killed during the occupation period of Crimea, 21 of them are the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. This category consists of the following components:

– "Victims of political repression" (2 – Crimean Tatars);
– "Victims of discrimination" (10, 8 Crimean Tatars);
– "Victims of terror" (29, 7 – Crimean Tatars);
– "Victims of police abuse" (10, 4 – Crimean Tatars).

The third category of the CTRC electronic database displays the actual number of victims of enforced disappearances during the occupation period of f Crimea. In total, according to the organization, there are 18 such people, 13 of them are the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. This category is divided into those who are declared missing (9 people, allof them are  Crimean Tatars) and those who are not declared missing (9 people, 4 of them Crimean Tatars).
