The musicians performed completely free of charge and delighted the listeners with original songs, covers of popular compositions, including Jamala’s song “1944”.
“This is a direct message from Ukrainian youth to children in Crimea. It is through such music that we try to tell Ukrainian youth that Crimea is Ukraine and that every day of the occupation should remind them of the need to make their own contribution to the struggle for their personal freedom and its values”,- said the head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev.
The event was also attended by former political prisoners of Crimea: Oleh Sentsov, Ihor Movenko and Ismail Ramazanov, who came to greet and support Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar youth.
