“The court found that the man was involved in confidential cooperation by an employee of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. On his instructions, from January to April 2023, he filmed and transmitted information about the location of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as provided other assistance to a foreign state in activities aimed at the security of the Russian Federation,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Earlier, Igor Kopyla was already sentenced to six years in prison for the illegal acquisition, transportation and storage of explosives and explosive devices.

Taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor and the punishment under the previous sentence, the “court” sentenced him to 14 years in a strict regime penal colony with a 1-year restriction of liberty and a fine of 400 thousand rubles.
