“I intend to appeal my inclusion in the register of “foreign agents” because I am acting solely on my own initiative. People accustomed to the vertical of power and orders from above find it difficult to understand, but no one dictates to me what to think and how to feel. I do not need any “foreign forces” or “outside influence” to see and describe the reality around me – children who grow up without parents, systematic searches and arrests, the pain and anxiety of people,” the human rights activist noted on her Facebook page.
Lutfiye Zudiyeva emphasized that the Russian Ministry of Justice had no legal grounds for including her in the register of “foreign agents”, and the contested order is illegal and unfounded.
Let us recall that on May 16, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added Crimean Tatar journalist and human rights activist Lutfiye Zudiyeva to the list of so-called “foreign agents”. The statement on the agency’s website stated that the reason for this was allegedly “the dissemination of false information about decisions made by public authorities and the policies they pursue”.
