Political prisoner Lenur Seidametov underwent surgery on his tailbone. His wife Adzhire reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
“They performed an operation on the tailbone, cut out a 10 cm cyst. The wound turned out to be large, it took a long time to heal, they injected me with painkillers”,- she said.
She stated that Seidametov waited a month and a half for the operation, and only after the persistence of his lawyers was he taken to the hospital at the colony in Lipetsk.
“The surgeon said that he would remain in the hospital for several more weeks until the stitches were removed. Lenur calls by Zonatelecom and reports about his health. She cannot sleep on her back or stand for long periods of time”,- she added.

The detainees are charged with Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The so-called Kyiv District Court and the so-called Lenin District Court have chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention until April 15, 2021 for the detained Crimean Tatars – Ernest Ibrahimov, Tymur Yalkabov, Azamat Eiupov, Oleh Fedorov, Lenur Seidametov and Yashar Shykhametov.
On March 22, 2022, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to Tymur Yalkabov. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison with the first 4 years in prison.
