Kyiv hosted the International Forum of the Expert Network of the Crimean Platform

July 19, 2023

On July 18-19, Kyiv hosted the International Forum of the Expert Network of the Crimean Platform Vision of the Future: Expert View.

The speakers and participants of the forum were leading experts from more than 20 countries of the world, among them was also the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, a member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev.

During his speech, the expert noted that after the de-occupation of Crimea, there will be some problems with the judicial system.

“We will get such a problem when our judicial system will choke on cases in Crimea. Therefore, we need to improve our legislative system in Ukraine. For example, it is necessary to relieve the judicial system as much as possible in relation to more administrative violations, and pay more attention to the crimes that the occupiers committed on the territory of Crimea”,- Bariiev noted.

According to him, it is necessary that already now laws and regulations are prepared in Ukraine, such as, for example: the procedure for voluntary departure from Crimea, the procedure for expulsion from Crimea for citizens who are illegally staying in Crimea.

“We also propose that all persons who illegally remained in Crimea be identified first, because these processes will not take place in a day or a month, and our system must complete this development”,- he explained.
