The Kyiv district court of the city of Aksmedzhit (Simferopol) extended the arrest of the defendants of the so-called second Dzhankoi group, that is, Osman Abdurazakov, Leman Zekeriaiev, Ekrem Krosh, Khalil Mambetov and Refat Seidametov. It is reported by the Crimean Solidarity.
The arrest was extended due to the petition of the FSB investigator for Crimea and Aksmedzhit (Simferopol), Dmitry Gramashov, who argued that if they choose a milder measure of restraint, the Crimean Tatars may hide and put pressure on witnesses, although since 2015 they made no attempt to leave.
“The side of the investigation did not provide any evidence that my client Osman Abdurazakov had intentions to hide. The investigation is only speculation. He has no intention and no opportunity to put pressure on secret witnesses. He doesn’t even know them”,- commented lawyer Emine Avamileva.
Lawyer Siiar Panych said that Khalil Mambetov’s heart failure worsened in the conditions of the pre-trial detention center.
“A phonographic examination showed that the composition of Mambetov’s crime consists in a phrase consisting of literally two words. These are the events of 2015. Eight years have passed since then, all this time the person walked free, did nothing bad to anyone”,- said the lawyer.
Ekrem Krosh’s lawyer, Oleksandr Stasiuk, said he plans to appeal the decision.
Despite the circumstances, the judge Galina Hulapova rejected all the objections of the defenders and left the defendants in the pre-trial detention center.
We remind you that on January 24, 2023, the occupants arrested Ekrem Krosh, Aider Asanov, Refat Seidametov, Osman Abdurazakov, Leman Zekiriaiev, Khalil Mambetov.
