Jehovah’s Witness Volodymyr Maladyka was transferred from the occupied Crimea to the territory of the Russian Federation. Crimean Solidarity reports this.
Aqyar resident (Sevastopol resident) Volodymyr Maladyka was transferred to correctional colony 3 in the Tambov region. He is currently in quarantine.
We remind you that on October 1, Russian security forces conducted searches in at least 9 houses of Crimean residents in Sevastopol suspected of participating in the religious organization Jehovah’s Witnesses, banned in Russia. As a result, 4 people were detained. Yevhen Zhukov, Volodymyr Sakada and Volodymyr Maladyka were arrested until November 30, Ihor Schmiedt – until November 23. The detainees are accused under Part 1, Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of the activities of an extremist organization).
In October 2022, Maladyka received a 6-year sentence.
