Twelve Russian military personnel were killed due to the explosion of a grenade launcher shell that hit a fire. The website 161.ru reports this with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies, the Russian army and investigative agencies.
It is known that the explosion occurred on November 3 at the Kuzminsky military training ground near Rostov-on-Don, but they were able to verify the information only at the end of the month.
“About 20 people lit a fire during their lunch break next to the ammunition blocks. The RPG-7 grenade launcher shell rolled into the fire and exploded”,- one of the publication’s sources said.
According to the source, eight people died on the spot, four more seriously wounded were in the hospital, and the rest, although wounded, survived.
