In southern Crimea, activists remind of the peninsula’s Ukrainian affiliation

October 31, 2024

Symbols of resistance have reappeared on the territory of Akyar and
Akmesdzhit, including suburbs, forests and nature reserves, reminding
us that Crimea is Ukraine. Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement
have distributed a large number of stickers.

“We are methodically decorating the largest Crimean cities with
symbols of resistance. And forests have always been a very symbolic
space for Ukrainian resistance movements, so we are not changing our
traditions,”- the activists said.

The activists added that their work is a guarantee of many smiles for
local residents and nightmares for the military, who are actively
deployed by the occupation authorities in Crimean cities, forests and
adjacent territories.
