In Sevastopol, for the first time, Russian soldiers were convicted for refusing to fight against Ukraine

In Sevastopol, the court issued the first verdict in a criminal case for the refusal of military personnel to comply with the order, the press service of the Russian Sevastopol garrison military court reported.

Servicemen of the Bilohirsk garrison of the Amur Region, senior warrant officer V.A. Kotov, appeared before the court as well as private Kotov E.V. They were convicted under the criminal article Non-execution of an order. It is noted that the cousins agreed in advance not to obey the order to defend the taken lines.

The cousinss admitted their guilt in part. By decision of the court, senior warrant officer Kotov was stripped of his rank and received 3.5 years in prison with a sentence to be served in a general regime correctional colony. Private Kotov was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison.
