Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev, in an interview with the Espresso TV channel, noted that mobilization in the occupied Crimea continues, but not in an active wave.
“As for the mobilization in Crimea, in July the Russians began to create commissions and carry out partial mobilization, they distributed more than 60,000 summons. It became known to us that now they are conducting door-to-door visits and collecting information on how many people live in a particular house. We also know that the occupiers have a list called List of persons of Crimean Tatar nationality evading service in the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Therefore, we warn everyone who is known to us on this list so that they know that they are wanted, because it is written that these persons are wanted. Thus, the mobilization continues, but not in an active wave”,- he explained.
Eskender Bariiev summed up that house-to-house visits and data collection, as well as the search for people on the lists, are all signs that the occupiers are trying to replenish the ranks of the Russian armed forces for subsequent sending to the war in Ukraine.
