The court in the occupied Crimea fined the Crimean Tatar imam Ismail Yurdamov 8,000 thousand rubles. Rustem Kiamilev reported this to Crimean Solidarity.

Yurdamov was fined under Part 4 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Carrying out missionary activities in violation of the requirements of legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations).

Yurdamov and his lawyer planned to question in court defense witnesses who were parishioners of the mosque in which Yurdamov held prayers.

According to defense attorney Rustem Kiamilev, the defense ensured the attendance of all witnesses, but judge Ivan Kuvshinov did not grant the request for questioning. He justified his decision by the fact that these witnesses were not indicated in the administrative protocol.

Let us recall that on December 13, Russian security forces conducted a search in the village of Juma Eli (Privetnoye) in the occupied Crimea in the house of Imam Ismail Yurdamov.
