Political prisoner Hennadii Lymeshko was transferred to solitary confinement. His wife, Iryna Lymeshko, reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
She confirmed that Lymeshko is now in solitary confinement. In addition, she said that he was not in touch.
We remind you that on August 12, 2017, the Russian FSB announced the detention of a man in the annexed Crimea, whom they called an SSU agent and accused of preparing sabotage on the peninsula. Russian intelligence services later released a video of the man’s detention and interrogation. On camera, he identified himself as Hennadii Lymeshko, born in 1992, and admitted that he was allegedly preparing sabotage on the territory of the annexed Crimea. The Security Service of Ukraine denied the involvement of the detainee in state security agencies. On May 10, 2018, the Sudak city court found Hennadii Lymeshko guilty of illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of explosives and sentenced him to 8 years in prison. The Ukrainian is serving his sentence period in colony 6 of the Dydymkin farmstead, Stavropol Region of the Russian Federation.
